The study assesses the preparedness of small and micro enterprises (SmEs) in Vietnam’s forest sector for changes in market structure due to increased enforcement of requirements for legality veri cation. It makes recommendations on how reforms and other mechanisms can be developed to improve the productivity, competitiveness and revenue of SmEs.
It also recommends actions to mitigate potential negative impacts caused by shifts in market structure and the future implementation of the European Union-Vietnam Voluntary Partnership Agreement on forest law enforcement, governance and trade.
